1/24 Amuse Nissan Fairlady 370Z (featuring Voltex 350Z)

Following the Voltex 350Z, I have completed another tuned Fairlady Z which is a Z34 370Z by famous Japanese tuner Powerhouse Amuse.

Highlights of this model:
  • 1/24 Tamiya Nissan 370Z base kit
  • Meko models Amuse 370Z transkit
  • Monterey Blue exterior color and Persimmon Orange interior color
Quick review of the transkit -

The quality of Meko transkit are high as usual, however fitment for this kit can be a bit tricky.  The kit actually requires you to remove the whole rear hatch(starting from the roof to the tailights including the rear bumper.  When cutting and attaching the rear hatch and bumper mistakes on fitment can be made easily.  For my experience I used putty to fill in any mistakes or miscalculation in order to re-adjust the position and make the car look complete.  The transkit also have oil spots on the surface and needed to be washed thoroughly.   Aside from that, the kit and the wheels that came with it will turn the 370Z into another thing of beauty once completed.

I've always kind of liked this orange leather interior which looks unique and increase the exotic/sportiness feeling of the car.  It is a shame that it is not offered in other models or Infiniti models(which was offered in Japan).

1/24 Voltex tuned Nissan Z33 Fairlady 350Z

Another quick update of a recently finish project.  Highlights:

  • Aoshima Nismo Nissan 350Z base kit
  • Hobby Design Voltex transkit(front bumper, side skirt, rear bumper, rear diffuser plate)
  • MCR 350Z hood - I feel that the stock hood doesn't cut it with such an extravagance body kit and GT wing
  • 19" Enkei NT03

1/24 NISMO BCNR33 GTR LM 1995 road car (featuring Nismo 400R)

Haven't posted for a long time due to some personal events last year, I have decided to use the time to revamp the background and display for my work.

Celebrating the new background, I have decided to build one of my favorite R33 Skyline GTR variant - the unicorn NISMO BCNR33 GTR LM road car.  This year also mark the 20th anniversary of this particular car, which was built to homologate the BCNR33 for entry into the GT1 category of the Le Mans 24 hours endurance race in 1995.  Reference picture of the real car:

1/24 Aoshima Vertex Soarer TE3006 & [Original] Blitz ECR33 Skyline D1 drift car concept

This time it is a pair of D1GP drift car racers.  Can't believe these racers are actually reaching 10 years old and their real car age reaching 20.  Both are coupes from the mid 90's with a straight 6 turbocharged engine sending power to the rear wheels, heavily modified for D1 races in the mid 2000's.

However, one is a real life D1 racer, and one isn't(at least to my knowledge).  Here comes the real life race car first -
1/24 Aoshima Vertex Ridge Soarer TE3006 D1GP kit:

Custom roll cage that did not come with the kit inside(kit came with regular passenger interior):

This is the ECR33 D1 concept vehicle with the specs as follow:

  • Base kit is from 1/24 Aoshima ECR33 Skyline coupe
  • Decals, wheels, interior roll cage from 2005 NomuKen Blitz ER34 4 door D1GP
  • Modified front, side, rear D1 skirts from the Blitz ER34
  • Custom rear fender for wider rear wheels
  • Custom rear deck with GT wing from the Blitz ER34
